Valentine’s Ecard – Flowers & Heart

We are delighted to announce our ecard I Heart You for Valentine’s Day which features a selection of some of our best hand illustrated flowers that spring to life to form a heart and the word “You”, finally spelling out the greeting “I Heart You”.

Flowers will probably always have a place in our heart as something very special. A flower has the power to symbolize things that are hard to put into words and this makes them such a perfect messenger for almost any occasion.

Send this card as a modern way to tell someone what they mean to you for Valentine’s Day, Anniversaries, to express sympathy and any time you want to let someone know you are thinking of them.

I created this card as soon as I was able to return to work after a month unable to hold a pen or a paint brush, with a severe sprain of several fingers and my wrist. During this time I had plenty of time to reflect on how much it means to me to be able to do the work I do, to have members who support this work and feel the cards lend a purpose to your lives. Valentine Ecards – Bed of Roses

For Valentine’s Day this year I wanted to create a card inspired by a great piece of music I had found. The first time I heard All This And You a story of two fish came alive; a story of great friendship, a celebration of love and of life. How amazing it is when you share the journey with friends and loved ones. For me this is what Valentine’s Day is really about. Not the fancy gifts or the grand gestures, as much as acknowledging what someone dear to you really means.

Our second card for Valentine’s Day, Bed of Roses, is a short and simple notecard, but the illustration itself is worthy of a special occasion like Valentine’s Day, anniversaries or birthdays. Cats are brilliant at finding the perfect spot to snuggle up. I imagine if they could sleep on a bed of roses they would not want to miss the chance. Who wouldn’t love to be indulged once in a while?

Mother’s Day Ecard – Celebrating Life & Mom

I was out for a walk recently and came across the most wonderful scented wild roses growing on my path. I brought a few home for my desk in the studio.

Over the coming week, the roses filled the whole studio with their scent as they opened their delicate layers in all their glory. Eventually, of course, they faded. The transient bloom of flowers reminded me that this year has made us acutely aware of how precious our time with our loved ones really is.

As I started working on our newest Happy Mother’s Day Ecard, the rose petals took on completely imaginary shapes and morphed into flowers that probably do not exist in nature. A bouquet started taking shape. It is my way of creating a way for you to send a virtual hug to those amazing women in your life, that deserve to be celebrated every day of the year.
